NetSpectrum Internet Division to Join Vianet Effective August 1, 2026

Spectrum Telecom is pleased to announce that, effective August 1, 2026, the company’s Internet division, NetSpectrum, will be acquired by Vianet.

Spectrum Telecom will continue to operate its other business divisions as usual. This transaction applies only to the NetSpectrum Internet division.

Vianet is an Ontario-based telecommunications provider with more than 30 years of experience delivering Internet, phone, and technology services to communities across the Northern Ontario. Both NetSpectrum and Vianet share a commitment to reliable service, local support, and continued investment in the communities we serve.

What This Means for NetSpectrum Customers

Until August 1, 2026, your Internet service and support will continue to be provided by NetSpectrum exactly as they are today. There will be no interruption to your Internet service as a result of this announcement.

Beginning August 1, Vianet will become your Internet service provider. Our teams are working closely together to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible. If any action is required from you before or after the transition, we will provide clear instructions well in advance.

Customers should also expect to receive a brief email from both Netspectrum and Vianet regarding the transition. If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. NetSpectrums information will be sent from general@netspectrum.ca and the Vianet one will be sent from generalnotice@vianet.ca.
