If you’re in a rural part of Northern Ontario and have been notified that your Xplore satellite service will be discontinued, you don’t need to be left without reliable internet. According to multiple public reports, Xplore (formerly Xplornet) has announced the discontinuation of one of its satellite service beams, which is expected to affect a number of rural customers across Canada, including parts of Northern Ontario, over the coming months. As reported by CBC News and other outlets, some customers will lose access to their current service depending on their location and the specific satellite coverage zone.
